This partnership reflects our unwavering commitment to breaking barriers and building a future where the health and well-being of our communities become an integral part of everyday life.
World Hearing Day, observed annually on March 3rd, raises awareness about ear and hearing care while advocating for policy action to address hearing loss. As the lead organizer in Arua District, Zoota Initiative for Development will spearhead local activities, including community outreach, awareness campaigns, and stakeholder engagements to promote hearing health.
The theme for World Hearing Day 2025 focuses on "Changing Mindsets: Let’s Make Ear and Hearing Care a Reality for All." This theme highlights the urgent need to shift perceptions about hearing health, ensuring that ear and hearing care becomes a priority in healthcare systems and communities worldwide. It emphasizes breaking stigma, increasing access to early intervention, and promoting policies that support hearing health for everyone, especially in underserved areas. Through awareness, advocacy, and action, the 2025 theme calls on individuals, governments, and organizations to work together in making hearing care an essential part of public health.
We are grateful for this partnership with WHO and CGHH and look forward to making a meaningful impact in strengthening hearing health awareness in our rural communities
Together, we are breaking barriers, ensuring that health and well-being are not just policies but a reality in the daily lives of our people.
